Barbara George heads BG CONSULTING, LLC, a business coaching firm that works with entrepreneurs and professionals to propel them ahead. Prior to forming her business in 2000, Barbara was President and CEO of GLOBAL DOGHOUSE, INC., which she joined shortly after it was formed in 1993. Barbara led GDH to triple-digit growth, implementing successful sales, marketing, budget and financial control, and customer service plans. Under her leadership, the company contracted projects from clients such as Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Disney, Universal and Warner Bros., and was named “one of the houses of choice for studios and filmmakers” in a Los Angeles Times Business Section profile (1996).
For three years prior, Barbara served as Vice President at GREY ADVERTISING/FATTAL & COLLINS. She designed and implemented an efficient infrastructure, directed innovative creative strategies, and spearheaded groundbreaking sales and advertising campaigns to successfully establish a motion picture division within the company. She came to them from PATHE INC./CANON PICTURES GROUP, where as Vice President of Marketing, she was responsible for managing million dollar advertising campaigns and publicity budgets.
In 1986, Ms. George joined the newly formed UNITED ARTIST PICTURES as Director of Creative Advertising. She was quickly promoted to Vice President and went on to direct the creative campaigns and oversee marketing budgets for such motions pictures as James Bond’s The Living Daylights, and the Academy Award winning Rain Man. She also directed the corporate identity program for MGM/UA and UNITED ARTISTS. |
